The Senator is a stately historic home dating from the 1840's. Little has changed here over the years. Only a veranda and sunporch have been added, to provide clearer views of Wallace Harbour. The house was originally the private home of the Honorable Senator Alexander MacFarlane, one of the "builders" of the Canada Confereation.
